AMSilk to showcase innovative personal care ingredients at SEPAWA Congress 2017

Planegg, October 16, 2017 - AMSilk GmbH, the world's first industrial supplier of synthetic silk biopolymers, will present its product developments for personal care applications at the SEPAWA Congress in Berlin from October 18 to 20.

At the Congress, AMSilk will be highlighting its flagship cosmetic ingredient lines: Silkbeads (microparticles) and Silkgel (a hydrogel). Produced using a biotechnological process, both products contain vegan silk biopolymers modeled on natural spider silk that give creams and other personal care products a pleasant soft and gentle texture. The silk biopolymers form a breathable film protecting skin and hair from particles such as pollutants and irritants. Furthermore, fragrances, active ingredients and dyes are fixed on the skin providing for their sustained release and therefore prolonged efficacy. Silkbeads and Silkgel are already available in many products worldwide.

RAHN AG, an important distribution partner of Silkbeads and Silkgel in several European countries, is also an exhibitor at SEPAWA.
