Capital Research and Management Company, Los Angeles, USA, submitted to us - Deutsche Börse AG, Neue Börsenstraße 1, 60487 Frankfurt/Main, Germany - on 7 January 2010 the following voting rights notification pursuant to section 21 (1) in connection with section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG.
On 1 January 2010, the stake of Capital Research and Management Company in the voting rights in Deutsche Börse AG, 60485 Frankfurt am Main, exceeded the threshold of 3%. On that date, Capital Research and Management Company held 3.03% (5,915,000 ordinary shares) in relation to all voting rights in Deutsche Börse AG (voting rights arising from 195,000,000 ordinary shares (Stammaktien)). Deutsche Börse AG has issued ordinary shares only.
Please note, that the threshold of 3% has only been exceeded due to an amendment of the proxy voting powers granted to Capital Research and Management Company by the funds managed by Capital Research and Management Company. Therefore, 3.03% (5,915,000 ordinary shares) of all voting rights in Deutsche Börse AG (voting rights arising from 195,000,000 ordinary shares) were attributed to Capital Research and Management Company pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG.
