Guotai Junan International Receives Four Awards from "Bloomberg Businessweek" including "Securities Company of the Year"
Gaining Wide Industry Recognition in its Business

[4 May 2017, Hong Kong] Guotai Junan International Holdings Limited (with its subsidiaries, as "Guotai Junan International" or the "Company", Stock code: 1788.HK) is pleased to announce that the Company received the "Excellence Award" in catergories of "Securities Company of the Year", "Corporate Finance" and "Urban Investment Bond" respectively, and "Outstanding Award" in "Derivatives Provider of the Year", in Financial Institution Awards 2017, held by Bloomberg Businessweek / Chinese Edition.

With diversified business lines and innovative products, Guotai Junan International has shifted its focus from the traditional fee-based brokerage to wealth management with a wide range of tailored financial products and services to maximize returns for investors.

The Company has stood out in sustainable development against market fluctuations. In 2016, Guotai Junan International realized significant business growth in corporate finance and financial products,market making and investment business, with revenue generated from corporate finance increased by 62.3% on a year-on-year basis("yoy") while gains from financial products, market making and investments surged by 135.3% yoy. Guotai Junan International completed 47 debt issuances in Hong Kong last year, with income from debt capital markets escalated by 293.6% yoy.

The Company made persistent efforts this year. As of April 30^th , we successfully completed 19 debt issuerances, significantly increased from 8 deals of the same period last year. The Company acted as the leading role for 12 deals and assisted clients to raise over HK$ 42 billion in the debt market, which representing a surge of 320% from HK$ 10 billion for the same period last year.

The Company also completed 6 IPO deals during the period, of which we acted as the sponsor for 5 deals. Fund raised from the equity market for our clients was over HK$ 21 billion, significantely surged from HK$ 180 million in compare with the same period 2016.
The Financial Institution Awards, presented by Bloomberg Businessweek, had appraised enterprises in banking, insurance and investment banking sectors through an authoritative evaluation mechanism, and selected prominent players in aspects of market performance, business growth, development and strategy during the year, aiming to motivate the sectors with greater efforts to Hong Kong's economic stability and prosperity. Bloomberg Businessweek / Chinese Edition was first launched in Mainland China in 2011, and in Hong Kong and Taiwan in mid-2013.
