ANNOUNCES A NEW GROUP HEAD OF THE PAPER BUSINESS


Almaty, Kazakhstan, May 17, 2012 - Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC (the 'Group') is pleased to announce that Jos van Lent has been appointed as a Group Head of its Paper Business.

Jos van Lent has a 30 year track record in the paper industry and is considered to be one of the leading executives in the Eastern Europe and Russia & CIS regions.

Jos has worked for SCA Packaging and Eswell in the Netherlands, and as a Managing Director for both Smurfit Kappa and Model Holding in Poland. Currently he was working for CIDC UK and Azerbaijan as a Project Director for the construction of the biggest tissue paper and diaper factory in the Caucasus.

From 2007 to 2009 Jos was also an independent director on the board of Kedenstransservice, the logistics operator of the Kazakh railways.
Jos holds a Diploma from Technical College of Mechanics and Industrial Engineering in Hertogenbosch (Netherlands) and has studied Economics at the University of Amsterdam.
