Community of Interests Pro-Holcim launches an information website www.holcimshareholders.ch

Zurich, April 7, 2015 - The Community of Interests (CI) Pro-Holcim went online with an information website. The website of CI Pro Holcim is a communication platform for shareholders who are against the merger and/or find the proposed conditions unfair. The website www.holcimshareholders.ch is intended to provide visitors with an insight into the most important facts about Holcim and Lafarge, which shareholders must know.

Presumably on May 8, 2015 Holcim shareholders will take a vote on the planned merger with Lafarge on occasion of an extraordinary shareholders' meeting in Zurich. A two-third majority of the votes present is required to decide on a capital increase. Lafarge shareholders should be offered 9 Holcim shares in exchange for 10 Lafarge shares. The capital increase required for the offer must be approved by the General Meeting.

We are convinced that Holcim today is much better positioned as a stand-alone than what a merged Lafarge/Holcim could be in the next years. In particular, we believe that Holcim can pay out significantly more dividends to shareholders than the new entity which will be more highly indebted.

Thus we call out to all shareholders to participate in the extraordinary shareholders' meeting of Holcim. Ensure that your shares are registered in the share registry of the company. In order to be able to vote at the extraordinary meeting, you should register your shares by mid-April at the latest.
