Questions to Holcim regarding the planned merger with Lafarge

Zurich, April 15, 2015 - The Community of Interests Pro Holcim submitted a list with questions regarding the planned merger with Lafarge to the Board of Directors of Holcim. The questions have so far not been answered since the company didn't want to broach the issue of the merger at the Ordinary Annual General Meeting.

The Community of Interests Pro-Holcim assumes that these questions (Section "Questions to Holcim", www.holcimshareholders.ch) are going to be discussed during the merger-roadshow. In terms of equal treatment of all shareholders the Community wishes that the answers can be made available to all shareholders on time. In particular international shareholders, who are going to vote through an independent voting proxy, have to make their decision at the latest 10 days before the Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting of May 8.
