Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP advised Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB) on the sale of its Tribotecc metal sulfides business to Treibacher Industrie AG.

The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2016 following receipt of certain regulatory approvals.

Tribotecc GmbH is a leading global producer of metal sulfides. The products of Tribotecc are used for friction pads, lubricants or cut-off and grinding wheels. The company is located in Austria with headquarter in Vienna and production and research center in Arnoldstein.

Albemarle, headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, develops, manufactures and markets technologically advanced and high value added products, including lithium and lithium compounds, bromine and derivatives, catalysts and surface treatment chemistries used in a wide range of applications. The Company employs approximately 6,900 people and serves customers in approximately 100 countries.
