The Carlyle Group has acquired a majority stake in exocad GmbH, a provider of CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) software for the dental industry, in particular for dental laboratories and dentists.
Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP advised exocad GmbH in the sales process as well as certain shareholders on their re-investment. The Willkie team was led by Dr. Axel Wahl and Mario Schmidt (Corporate/M&A, Frankfurt) and included partners Dr. Patrick Meiisel, Dr. Bettina Bokeloh (both Tax, Frankfurt), Susanne Zuehlke (Antitrust, Brussels), Dr. Christian Rolf (HR, Frankfurt), Jasmin Dettmar (Finance, Frankfurt) as well as associates Andreas Feith, Wolfgang Münchow, Johannes Eckhardt and Andreas Knödler (all Corporate/M&A, Frankfurt).
