Yanchang Petroleum International Appoints
Mr. Bruno Guy Charles Deruyck as Executive Director and CEO

(30 September 2016, HONG KONG) Yanchang Petroleum International Limited ("Yanchang Petroleum International" or the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group"; stock code: 00346), announces today that the Group has appointed Mr. Bruno Guy Charles Deruyck as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 October 2016.

Prior to joining Yanchang Petroleum International, Mr. Deruyck is the Vice President for Business Development and New Ventures at Schlumberger Production Management (SPM) from 2009 to 2016. Schlumberger Group (NYSE: SLB) is the world's largest oilfield services company. Mr. Deruyck also held various managerial roles, including Technical, Operational and Business Development when he worked in Perenco (1996-2009), a private Oil & Gas Company, contributing to its remarkable and impressive track records in business growth. With his 35 year career in oil and gas industry, Mr. Deruyck brings a wide exploration and production industry perspective as well as valuable expertise in operations and business development.

Mr. Li Yi, Chairman of Yanchang Petroleum International, said, "Mr. Deruyck brings valuable experience and insight to our Group and will be an asset to the management team. Mr. Deruyck holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France) and a MSc. in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University (US).
