Rocket Data Intelligence GmbH: Web Summit 2015: Rocket Data Intelligence presents new solutions for virtual visualisations in Dublin

Berlin start-up combines virtual reality with smart data solutions / customer journey becomes a data journey / 30,000 participants expected at technology conference in Dublin

Berlin / Dublin, November 3, 2015. This Tuesday, Berlin start-up Rocket Data Intelligence GmbH presents its Virtual Reality Content Machine (VRCM) at the international Web Summit in Dublin. The solution simplifies and accelerates not only product visualisations for marketing, press and web, but also features a fully-fledged photo-realistic 3D configurator. In line with the ALPHA program for start-ups at the Web Summit, Rocket Data Intelligence further presents its smart big data solutions and intelligent analysis tools.

"Interest in our virtual real time configuration and our data solutions is tremendous. At the IAA in Frankfurt in September our products already received immense reception from more than 200 potential new customers. By attending the Web Summit we want to build on this success and position ourselves in the international market", states Kubilay Topal, CEO of Rocket Data Intelligence.

VRCM generates photorealistic pictures and videos of vehicles based on the CAD data. Using GPU accelerated rendering these visualisation from the VRCM are not computed by a computer's CPU, but by high-performance graphics processors. The new technology therefore allows customers to design their dream car to specification at home in real time using their smartphone, tablet or computer. At the car dealership they can then get into their dream car through big powerwalls or virtual reality glasses. With this new technology automakers can reduce the time and costs of creating visual contents by about 50 percent compared to traditional methods.

Using the big data solutions and analysis tools Autocrat and Parasight developed by Rocket Data Intelligence, companies further benefit from real time market research they can then incorporate directly in their product development and more efficient upselling. This now already makes predictive analysis - predicting customer behaviour - reality for automakers using the products of the Berlin start-up. After all: Whilst customers are for example still configuring their vehicle, the additional analysis software analyses all the data in real time which, combined with existing sales-, target group- or CAD data provides valuable business insights for production and model planning, or even for marketing and sales. Topal: "At the Web Summit we are presenting VRCM and our other software solutions using the automobile industry as the example. But other applications are already being planned. When it comes to smart big data solutions for connected retail and digitisation, Rocket Data Intelligence is the right partner for all manufacturers manufacturing their products with CAD/CAM methods and SAP."

The Web Summit has been held annually since 2010 in Dublin. Within just five years the event grew from a small conference with 400 attendees to one of the principal technology conference worldwide with 30,000 participants from over 100 countries.

The Virtual Reality Content Machine (VRCM) is a new scalable media generation machine for car manufacturers produced by the 2015 Berlin startup. This GPU-based solution makes it possible to generate and to configure photo-realistic media such as photos for the press, marketing or sales, and moving picture content such as virtual panning and detail views, right up to fully automatic car catalogues in real time. With VRCM, web configurators can be provided centrally with photos and other media from a GPU-based Cloud solution. What is more, the car dealer can also run VRCM on a normal gaming PC. In this way, car dealers, TVs, tablets or smartphones become digital Connected Showrooms.

Manufacturers can also extend VRCM with data solutions from Rocket Data Intelligence like Autocrat and Parasight. These reduce data distribution efforts for product visualisations by around 50 percent. The intelligent solutions allow sales professionals and product developers to access CAD data and product data directly in the field and engage in predictive analysis, the evaluation of data or prediction of customer behaviour. Together with other information, this opens up a novel form of intelligent data integration and processing (Data Intelligence or Smart Data). Moreover, these solutions reduce product complexity to exactly what customers want.

In addition, Rocket Data Intelligence has developed a gateway to customer data by means of an app called 1%. For the first time, this app can maintain an orderly vehicle logbook via a Bluetooth interface (dongle), which is compatible with all popular accounting and book-keeping systems (such as Datev, etc.).
