As of 4 July 2016, the Burkhalter Group is acquiring M + H Elektro AG and Jurt Elektro AG in Lachen, in the canton of Schwyz. Both companies have been operating in the electrical market since 1993 and offer traditional electrical engineering services. Together they employ 33 people and generate joint annual sales of around CHF 5.5 million. Markus Huber, former managing director of both companies, will also hold a managerial position in The Burkhalter Group.

The Burkhalter Group now owns four companies on the western shore of Lake Zurich.

The Burkhalter Group's previous outposts on the western shore of Lake Zurich were Erbnöther Elektro AG in Schübelbach/Buttikon (Schwyz) and Elektro Zürichsee AG in Horgen (Zurich). The acquisition of M + H Elektro AG and Jurt Elektro AG in Lachen (Schywz) means that the demand for electrical engineering services can now be met by four companies. Each company will continue to serve the local market as independent service providers under their own names.

The purchase of M + H Elektro AG and Jurt Elektro AG marks the Burkhalter Group's 17th and 18th acquisitions since its IPO in June 2008. It remains part of the group's strategy to gain additional market shares by selectively acquiring other electrical engineering companies.
