Press release

Rautenberg Moritz & Co. strengthens its partnership with Boris Herzog and continues to build value creation expertise

Düsseldorf/Frankfurt, 3 May 2021: The strategy and corporate finance advisory firm Rautenberg Moritz & Co. has appointed Boris A. Herzog, a renowned expert in strategy and value creation, as Partner. Herzog becomes the fifth partner of the consultancy, which was founded just seven years ago and now employs 30 people. Having joined the firm in 2014, he will continue to expand the Strategy & Value Creation unit, which supports strategic and financial investors in due diligences and operational value creation at portfolio companies.

With the appointment of Boris Herzog to the circle of partners, Rautenberg Moritz & Co. continues to strengthen its integrated business model. The advisory firm recently achieved annual growth of over 40 percent, largely due to its focus on transaction-related services, with further impetus expected to come from the Strategy and Value Creation business in the future. Founding Partner Arndt Rautenberg gives a positive assessment of the firm's development, noting: "It is with great pleasure and a certain level of pride that we announce the promotion of Boris Herzog, an outstanding colleague, to our partnership. He brings many years of strategic and operational experience and enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry thanks to his high level of expertise. He will play a significant role in driving our business forward."

As a new member of the Rautenberg Moritz & Co. management team, Boris Herzog sees considerable potential for further growth. He highlights the benefit of the company's transaction-focused, integrated business model and comments: "I am excited to take on this new role. Our integrated approach, with its clear focus on value creation and M&A, gives us a substantial advantage over many of our competitors in the market since we can support a transaction end-to-end in terms of both content and process. We cover the entire range of advisory services, from the initiation of a deal and its execution to operational value creation, preparations for an exit and the sale process itself."

Boris Herzog, who joined the newly founded firm in 2014 as its third employee, has successfully advised on a multitude of deals and transaction-related projects - around 30 in the past year alone, with a focus on the information technology and digital infrastructure sectors. Together with Arndt Rautenberg and his three other partners, Boris Herzog will continue to expand the firm's activities from the Frankfurt office in deal execution / (vendor) DDs and exit readiness across both business units.
